Lunch with Mark Dreyfus

Lunch with Mark Dreyfus QC MP

Please join me for lunch with the Shadow Attorney-General, the Hon. Mark Dreyfus QC MP on Wednesday 6 February.

This will be a great opportunity to meet with Mark, who prior to serving as Attorney-General, appeared in a number of landmark cases in the High Court, including the Stolen Generations litigation.

As Attorney-General, Mark also appeared before the International Court of Justice as Counsel and Advocate for Australia in the proceedings against Japan to cease their whaling in the Southern Ocean.

Mark is no stranger to Newcastle, and is well aware of our campaigns for prompt judicial appointments and proper resourcing of Commonwealth Courts.

So I hope you join us for lunch, to talk to Mark about your priorities and to her from him about the future of the justice system in Australia.
